Don Scott, co-owner of GSI Outdoors, a leading supplier of outdoor cook- and tableware, announces the addition of Tom Hathaway to their management team as director of sales for North America. In his new position, Tom assumes overall responsibility for sales management functions in the U.S. and Canada including sales programs, strategies and dealer relations.  He is no stranger to the outdoor industry after more than 20 years in various positions for a variety of companies including product manager, sales manager and OEM development.

“The addition of a proven industry veteran to our management team will help launch us into a new and exciting time for our brand,” commented Don.  “We have no doubt that his contributions will begin immediately as he acquaints himself with our very strong and capable sales force and customer service department.”

For the past several years, Tom has been producing OEM programs for several major U.S. retailers.  Along the way in his career, he has sold and managed sales programs to virtually every major U.S. outdoor and sporting goods chain as well as to hundreds of outdoor specialty retailers.  Prior he held positions as national sales and marketing manager for Terramar Sports, co-founder of Flyshacker Clothing and sales manager of Woolrich children’s and loungewear divisions.  Well versed in the challenges facing outdoor retailers, he commented that, “I’m excited to join the GSI Outdoors team.  The brand is unsurpassed in its category and my goal is to do my part to make sure that our retailers can take full advantage of this success.”
