Wardens, Wall of Shame Gets Crowd Talking About Stopping Poachers

DNR Chief Conservation Warden Randy Stark says this weekend’s Deer and Turkey Expo in Madison is a terrific place for conversation — and it sure was Saturday at the Wall of Shame exhibit which shows some of the state’s poaching cases handled by the Bureau of Law Enforcement’s Conservation Warden Service.
“This is a great event for our wardens. They interact with, answer questions from and and assist the people we serve,” Stark says.
And the crowds came with plenty of questions about poaching and other natural resources questions for the wardens, who will be back tomorrow for the expo’s final day at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
In addition to talking with conservation wardens, you’ll also be able to purchase your licenses for this year’s seasons and talk with wildlife experts about the deer herd, turkey and more.
