Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, announced the launch of Sportsman HD throughout Charter’s Fort Worth and surrounding North Texas region. As part of a phased rollout, Sportsman HD will be available on channel 712 throughout the region by mid-June. Charter customers can also get Sportsman Channel now in standard (SD) on channel 294, as part of Charter’s Sports View Tier and Digital Tier 2.
“At Charter, we are focused on providing value to our customers through great video content that is the highest quality and appeals to a wide range of viewer interests,” said John Owen, Charter’s regional vice president. “The addition of Sportsman HD enables us to deliver on that strategy of providing best-in-class HD programming as we more than double our HD lineup to offer a more robust and vivid digital format.”
Sportsman Channel’s programming offerings include many of the industry’s leading series as well as ground-breaking lifestyle and adventure shows, like PigMan: The Series, MeatEater and Dropped, as well as the first-ever news-talk TV series for the outdoors genre NRANEWS Cam & Company. The programming matches the network’s drive to present more of the lifestyle of people who love – and live – to hunt, shoot and fish, including stories about travel, adventure, survival, cooking and eating, work, family, collecting and more.
“We are pleased to bring our premier, industry-leading programming to the North Texas area – a large and passionate area of American sportsmen and sportswomen,” said Sportsman Channel CEO Gavin Harvey. “There is no better way to experience the great outdoors and the sportsman lifestyle than in stunning HD, and we look forward to delivering the most entertaining and informative HD programming to Charter’s customers and expanding to reach even more of today’s 80 million American sportsmen and women nationwide.”
