‘Live Free or Die’ IDPA Returns to Pioneer Sportsmen in New Hampshire

IDPA is about to heat up in the ‘Live Free Or Die’ state as Pioneer Sportsmen in Dunbarton, New Hampshire prepares for the 2013 match season.

Led by a new team of experienced IDPA competitors with regional and national match experience, Ken Lambert, Dave Mowbray and Rob Lacroix, Pioneer IDPA announced their 2013 match schedule.

“IDPA clubs around the country are seeing surges in match attendance as IDPA membership swells to over 22,000. We’re excited to see defensive shooting competition on the rise in New Hampshire, and with Ken, Dave and Rob heading up the program, Pioneer matches will likely set new attendance records – Live Free Or Die-style,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of the International Defensive Pistol Association.

The Pioneer IDPA season will begin on Saturday, May 18 and conclude on the weekend of October 18-19 when Pioneer Sportsmen hosts the 2013 Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship. The 2013 match dates are:

  • Saturday, May 18
  • Saturday, June 15
  • Saturday, July 20 – IDPA Classifier
  • Saturday, August 24
  • Saturday, September 21
  • Friday and Saturday, October 18-19 – Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship

Each monthly match will consist of six stages with one a low light or no light stage. Match registration will take place at 9:00am with the shooter safety meeting at 9:45am followed by a shotgun start. The match fee for the monthly match, including the classifier, will be $20.00.

Complete match details for the Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship will be announced in the coming weeks.
