Free Advanced Fly Tying Clinic in Nevada

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) and the Ruby Mountain Fly Fishers are sponsoring a two-day advanced fly tying clinic focusing on Mayflies during the evenings on Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24. This clinic is designed for experienced fly tiers and is free to all participants. The class is limited to the first 12 who sign up. Participants must attend both days of this clinic.

WHAT – Class is geared towards experienced fly tiers with an emphasis on different flies used during different life stages of the mayfly. Tiers will also be introduced to new modern materials.

WHEN – Tuesday, April 23, 2013, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m.

WHERE – NDOW office at 60 Youth Center Road

SIGN-UPS – For registration and more information call the Department of Wildlife at 777-2305.

AGES – Minimum age is 12 years. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

BRING – Participants are requested to provide their own fly tying tools though a limited number of kits are available for those who don’t own them. Materials will be provided.
