Oregon Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board to Meet in White City

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fish Restoration and Enhancement Board will meet on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26 in White City.
On Thursday, the Board will meet from 2-5 p.m. at the Brookside Inn and Suites, 2020 Leigh Way, White City, Ore. 97503. The day’s agenda includes several board and administrative updates including consideration of the 2013-2015 administrative budget for the program.
The meeting will reconvene on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the same location. The Board will hear an update from the Upper Rogue District and consider funding for several project proposals.
Meetings on both days are open to the public, and there will be an opportunity for public comment.

Created by the Oregon Legislature in 1989, the Fish Restoration and Enhancement Program is funded by a surcharge on sport and commercial fishing licenses and commercial poundage fees. The program’s seven-member citizen board reviews fish restoration and enhancement project proposals and makes funding recommendations to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
