Annual Montana Kids’ Fly Tying Night Set for May 23

Fish, Wildlife and Parks and the Missouri River Flyfishers will hold their annual fly tying night for children May 23 at FWP regional headquarters in Great Falls, 4600 Giant Springs Road.

The free event teaches youngsters the basics of the hobby and how to tie a few simple flies. In addition, the participants learn about aquatic insects, which many flies imitate. No equipment is necessary as everything, including instructors from the club, will be provided. Parents are encouraged to attend and watch.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs till 8 p.m.
