Carbon Express Takes First U.S. Archery Gold Recurve Win in Texas with NEW Nano-Pro Xtreme Arrow

Carbon Express, the leader in arrow technology, is pleased to announce that Team Carbon Express member Michelle Gilbert won the company’s first ever recurve bow gold medal by a U.S. Archer in major tournament. Michelle took first place at the U.S. Archery Texas Shoot Out held in College Station, Texas.

Michelle beat Miranda Leeks, a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team by a score of 6 to 2. Michelle was using the new the new Nano-Pro Xtreme Recurve arrows, which will be available in July. During the elimination rounds, the new arrows and Michelle’s spot-on aim only had her give up 2 ends out of 14 sets.

Despite the very windy conditions (College Station reported wind gusts of up to 25-30 mph that day), Michelle was able to shoot spot-on because the Nano-Pro Xtreme recovers so fast out of the bow causing less wind drift. Or as Michelle put it, “the new Nano-Pro arrows cut through the wind like little laser darts.”
