Explore Outdoor Skills at CPW’s First Shot Event May 18 in Colorado

Families with youngsters or the young at heart who want to try their hand at archery, shooting or fishing are invited to swing by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife campus on Saturday May 18 for a morning of safe outdoor skills fun.
This free event offers the public a chance to learn the fundamentals of shooting a bow and arrow and to learn basic marksmanship and firearms safety using a computer simulated laser-shot game and .22 caliber rifles in a specially designed shooting trailer. Kids will also have a chance to learn the basics of pond fishing. The first 75 kids who register will be given a rod-and-reel combo that they can keep.
First Shot starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at noon.
WHO: Families and kids who want to learn about archery, marksmanship, fishing and wildlife.
