“Patriots Assemble!” is the rally cry as Zombie hunters are called to register for Zombies in the Heartland – Pandemic 2013, May 31 through June 2, 2013 at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. Hornady is the premiere sponsor of the second annual 3-gun event, along with the Nebraska Army National Guard. Registration is limited, and begins April 2, 2013 at 5 p.m. using this online registration form.
Back by popular demand, the match will feature 10 competitive stages, and five sidematch stages. Event sponsors will provide new and reactive zombie targets developed specifically for this match, with most targets falling over, moving, or exploding. Shooters will be required to compete with pistol, rifle and shotgun. For a complete list of rules/equipment requirements, please go to the Zombie Guide aka Rules and Regulations.
“Shooters are encouraged to bring their ARs, AKs, shotguns, pistols and all the high capacity magazines they can carry, because this event will test their skills,” said Neil Davies, Marketing Director for Hornady Manufacturing. “With a fun, challenging course of fire and another outstanding prize table, Pandemic 2013 promises to attract shooters from all over the country.” For complete event information, visit http://zombiesintheheartland.com or follow on Facebook.
An optional CQZ (Close Quarter Zombies) Shoot House will feature a maze of walls, smoke, lights and sound, and reactive zombie targets. Competitors will be armed with an airsoft M-4 with green laser and over 100 rounds of airsoft ammunition. Access to the Shoot House costs an additional $5, with proceeds donated to a military charity.
