Weighing an average of two to three pounds, Peregrine Falcons are top predators in their weight class. These birds of prey wield razor-sharp claws and an equally dangerous beak, which coupled with a top diving speed of over 200 mph can create one of nature’s most dangerous hunters.

One innovative sportsman decided to strap a small camera to his falcon’s back to record it catching a duck in the air. The hapless waterfowl appears at about a minute into the video.

  1. I love raptors. Very cool. Also, very funny, the guy trying to get his kid to look at the camera, while all he wants to do is look at the falcon eating the duck!
