Organizers of New Hampshire’s IDPA championship announced that iconic American firearms maker Smith & Wesson will be the title sponsor of the Granite State’s 2013 state match. The Smith & Wesson Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship is scheduled to take place October 18-19.

The championship will be hosted by the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton, N.H. In addition to determining the state title, the match will also serve as the final leg of the King of New England contest. The 17th Annual Massachusetts State Championship and the New England Regional, both sponsored by Smith & Wesson, make up the first and second legs, respectively, of the newly announced series.

“Participation in IDPA events is on the rise all across the country and here in New Hampshire it’s really taking off with Pioneer Sportsmen leading the way,” explained Ken Lambert, match director for the championship.

“Thanks to the generous support of our title sponsor Smith & Wesson, the Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship is set to cap a great shooting season for New Hampshire’s IDPA community.”

“Our sponsorship of the Live Free Or Die State Championship reflects Smith & Wesson’s ongoing commitment to New England’s thriving shooting sports community. IDPA has seen tremendous growth in the last few years and Smith & Wesson is proud to see that growth continue, especially here in New England,” said Paul Pluff of Smith & Wesson.

Registration details for the Smith & Wesson Live Free Or Die State IDPA Championship will be announced shortly. Companies interested in sponsoring the Live Free Or Die State Championship should contact the sponsorship coordinator at pioneeridpa@gmail.com.
