This past Saturday the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton, N.H. saw a record turnout with over 100 shooters competing in the club’s first match of the 2013 IDPA season.
Thanks to the hard work of organizers Ken Lambert, Dave Mowbray and Rob Lacroix, each seasoned competitors with regional and national experience in International Defensive Pistol Association competition, Saturday’s match not only set a new IDPA record at Pioneer but also attracted 35 shooters new to the sport of defensive shooting.
“When we set about relaunching the IDPA program at Pioneer we were hoping to increase turnout to an average of 60 to 80 shooters a match. Topping 100 shooters at our first event was a great surprise and bodes well for an excellent season ahead,” said Lambert.
