Team Remington/Bushmaster Shooters Hit Their Mark in North Carolina

Shooters from Team Remington – Bushmaster had an excellent start to the competitive season at the 2013 Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Games and the Creedmoor Cup High-Power Rifle Championships.
In the team competition, Team Remington Roxburgh, four person team, finished as overall winners and match rifle champions with a score of 1967-85X. Additionally, Team Bushmaster Hendricks’, four person team, placed a respectable fourth place with a score of 1942-58X’s.
In the individual championships, Hugo Adelson won the overall individual title and the Creedmoor Cup with a score of 2371-117x and 16-year-old Joe Hendricks, Jr. won the individual Junior Service Rifle title firing a score of 2296-69x.
“Team Remington-Bushmaster has come out of the gate this season with a highly competitive high-power and long range team,” said Ken Roxburgh – Team Captain and Coach. “Our team shot very well overall and we all are extremely proud of our significant wins at the first major championship of the season.”
“I want to extend congratulations to every member of our team for their dedication to marksmanship and their role as ambassadors to the competitive rifle shooting sports,” said Shane Naylor, Shooting Sports Manager for the Remington-Bushmaster Rifle Team. “We are very proud of what they accomplished at the matches and I am looking forward to a great season ahead.”
In addition to the matches, Team Remington-Bushmaster instructors conducted the Remington Advanced High-Power Rifle Marksmanship Clinic on May 8, 2013.
The 2013 CMP Games and the Creedmoor Cup High-Power Rifle Championships were held at Camp Butner, North Carolina on May 8 – 12, 2013.
