Apply for an Antlerless Big Game Permit in Utah

You won’t have to juggle a printed guidebook and a website when you apply for a cow elk, doe deer or doe pronghorn permit for this fall’s hunts.

Instead, everything you need to apply will be available in one spot on the Internet.

Detailed maps, boundary descriptions, a list of available hunts, all of the information you need to apply, and a link to the application itself, are among the items you’ll find at wildlife.utah.gov/dwr/highlights.html.

Applications for permits will be accepted online starting May 29. Your application must be received through the website no later than 11 p.m. on June 20 to be included in the draw for permits.

Staci Coons leads the Division of Wildlife Resources team that writes and produces Utah’s hunting, fishing and trapping guidebooks. She says 2013 is the second year Utah’s antlerless application process will be done completely online.

“Once you get used to not having a printed guidebook,” she says, “we think you’ll like it. Now, everything you need to apply is available in a single spot on our website.”

For more information, call the nearest Division of Wildlife Resources office or the DWR’s Salt Lake City office at 801-538-4700.
