General Tire, a leading manufacturer of ultra high-performance passenger and light truck tires, joins the Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) as official sponsor for the 2013 season. In addition to being a sponsor of the IFA Redfish and Kayak Tours, General Tire will also sponsor the new Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge series presented by Cabela’s.
“General Tire is a great partner for us and such a strong addition to our group of sponsors,” said IFA Marketing Director Bart Schad. “They build an excellent product and bring a well-established reputation for quality in the automotive industry. We’re excited to have them on board and look forward to working together for years to come.”
With more than 30 million anglers nationwide, the IFA Redfish and Kayak Tours provide a targeted audience for General Tire. General’s Grabber line of light truck tires including the Grabber UHP, Grabber HTS, Grabber AT2 and signature Red Letter Grabber, providing the traction, durability and comfort the angling community demands from a tire.
“A majority of the angling community drives a light truck, and most have a boat trailer, so the IFA Redfish and Kayak Tours provide General Tire a great opportunity to reach a very targeted audience,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire. “Anglers demand only the best for their equipment, and tires shouldn’t be any different. We feel this is a great fit for our brand and we’re proud to be associated with the series.”
Drawing inshore anglers from Texas to the Carolinas and beyond, the IFA Redfish Tour is the largest and oldest redfish tour in the nation. Offering anglers the opportunity to compete in low-entry fee events, redfish anglers can fish close to home, minimize expenses and compete for lucrative winnings and contingency prizes. The Lucas Oil IFA Pro-Am Redfish Challenge series is being billed as the ultimate redfish showdown, featuring the sport’s best anglers in a high stakes, made-for-TV competition.
The IFA Kayak Fishing Tour presented by Hobie Fishing is the fastest-growing kayak fishing tournament trail in the county. Kayak anglers competing in the catch-photograph-release tournaments can take advantage of the numerous money and product prizes awarded to competitors.
