June 11 is Arizona’s Fall Hunt Application Deadline

The deadline for Arizona’s 2013 fall draw for hunting deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, buffalo and pheasant is almost here. Applications must be received by the Arizona Game and Fish Department by 7 p.m. (MST), Tuesday, June 11, 2013. As always, it is the date and time applications are actually received that matters. Postmarks don’t count.

There are three ways to apply for the fall draw: online, in person or by mail.

ONLINE: Visit https://az.gov/app/huntdraw/home.xhtml and scroll down to the “Apply for a Draw” link. Keep in mind that a high volume of last-minute draw applications can cause the website to slow down or become temporarily unavailable. Technical problems can also occur that could prevent hunters from uploading and completing online applications by the deadline. It is the responsibility of each applicant to get their applications in by the deadline — 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 11. Don’t delay. Log on and apply early.

IN PERSON: Drop off applications at any of the seven Game and Fish offices statewide. Offices are located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix. Visit www.azgfd.gov/offices for office addresses and directions.

BY MAIL: Draw applications may be mailed, but as mentioned previously, the applications must be received by Game and Fish on or before the deadline at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 11 (postmarks don’t matter). Mailed applications should be sent to Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn. Drawing Section, PO Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052.

IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFORMATION: Department office locations statewide will be open until 7 p.m. on June 11 to receive dropped-off applications. However, front counter customer service for regular business transactions, including the sale of fishing and hunting licenses, will close at the regular time, 5 p.m.
