In women’s recurve, Lorig shot her way through match wins versus formidable opponents in the recurve women’s category, proving that five Olympic Games’ worth of competitive experience comes in handy on a tough field.  Lorig delivered a perfect 30 in the final end for the win, 6-2.   For Women’s compound, Jones came up against fellow Team Hoyt and World Cup teammate Jamie Van Natta in the Gold medal match.  This proved to be a close match with Jones fighting back from a deficit in the first end to win her gold medal and the Gator Cup crown, 142-139.

For men’s recurve, all the medal matches featured Team Hoyt shooters.  Team Hoyt’s Joe Fanchin presented a tough challenge for Brady Ellison for the gold medal match, forcing a one-arrow shootoff to decide the winner.  Brady delivered the winning shot for the gold.  Jake Kaminski shot a 6-4 win versus Canada’s Crispin Duenas, who qualified in the #1 slot for the event, for bronze
