Video: Largemouth Bass Lunges for Frog Lure
OutdoorHub Reporters 09.23.13
Some anglers may not know that adult largemouth are actually considered apex predators within most of their habitats. This is not surprising given their size, which can be intimidating to many would-be predators. Unless of course, it’s another bass, in which case you have a situation where they may try to eat each other.
Bass take their top-level status seriously. They show their respect for the food chain by aggressively eating everything they can shove into their mouths, and some things that they couldn’t. That’s likely why the frog lure in this video made such an attractive presentation to this hungry bass.
