Vortex Debuts Diamondback HP Lineup at SHOT Show

Vortex unveiled their new Diamondback HP (high performance) riflescopes this year at SHOT Show, which aim to offer hunters rugged, reliable, high-end performance at an affordable price point. They feature extra-low dispersion glass to increase resolution and color fidelity.

The HPs’ fully multi-coated lenses maximize shooting light. All scopes in this line also feature side focus/parallax adjustments that are easily accessed. Even with all these features, the Diamondback HP keeps a trim profile to allow extra mounting room. Its 4X zoom range also delivers versatile magnification for virtually any conditions hunters encounter.

Vortex unveils the Diamondback HP lineup in three models: 4-16×42, 3-12×42 and 2-8×32. All three models feature a “Dead-Hold” bullet-drop compensator that delivers MOA accuracy. The 4-16X and 3-12X models measure 12.5 inches and weigh 18 ounces. The 2-8X model measures 11.6 inches and weighs 15.9 ounces.

The larger models offer four inches of eye relief, while the 2-8X model extends that to 4.6 inches. Their fields of view at 100 yards are as follows: 4-16×42 – 23.8 feet at 4X and 6.1 feet at 16X; 3-12×42 – 28.8 and 8.2; and 2-8X – 41.9 and 12.2. They will retail for $489 to $589.
