Popular YouTube commentator and firearms enthusiast Ernest Barry Elliott passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 59. “Barry” as he was known, was a vibrant personality on the IraqVeteran8888 YouTube channel, for which he co-hosted segments such as “Gun Gripes” with Eric Blandford. Barry was an outspoken advocate of the Second Amendment and loved to share his extensive knowledge of firearms.
“Barry did pass away this Saturday morning,” Eric said in a recent video tribute, which you can see below. “[…] He passed of a heart attack from everything that we’ve been told. It’s very unfortunate, we’ve lost a powerful voice in the Second Amendment community. He’s going to be sorely missed. On behalf of myself and the whole crew as Moss Pawn, we want to certainly give the family our condolences.”
A memorial fund has been set up for Barry to help his family pay for his final expenses. Donations are accepted here.
Eric released the final episode of “Gun Gripes” as a tribute to Barry today, but promises that the IV8888 channel will continue to go strong.
“I will miss Barry so much,” Eric posted on his Facebook. “We have to drive on as best we can. We all put our heart and souls into this channel, and through that hard work ethic, Barry will live on.”
The staff here at OutdoorHub would also like to give our condolences to Barry’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he was a part of.
