Yesterday we covered a story on a great white who ravaged the chum bucket of a New Jersey fishing boat, and here is perhaps an even closer look at the damage a large shark can do. According to The Telegraph, Andy Casagrande IV was testing out his new GoPro camera rig for Discovery’s Shark Week when it quickly became a chew toy.
The camera system is an expensive 360-degree video scuba prototype and the filmmakers want it back. While they bear no grudge against the great white for doing what is simply natural—especially if you stick something in front of a shark’s mouth—they are offering $5,000 for the camera’s return.
If any divers near New Zealand are keen for some adventure, there could be a cool five grand waiting for them.
