What would you go through for your kids? This adult bald eagle seems to be pretty content in its nest as snow buries Pennsylvania’s Codorus State Park. This livestream eagle cam, set up by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, is centered on the nest of a mating couple named Liberty and Freedom. On Thursday, heavy snowfall covered one of the parents as they tried to keep the eggs warm, but experts say that eagles don’t generally mind the snow. In fact, eagles are very well insulated and their feathers can act as a heat shield, keeping warmth directed into the nest.

According to Lancaster Online, the eggs were laid in the middle of of February and should have a few more weeks left before the chicks are able to break out. During that time, the parents will have to shelter them through all kinds of weather. Biologists say that the top concern for the eggs is heavy wind, which can blow the nest right out of the tree.

A clip of the eagle in action can be seen below. A link to the livestream is below the video.
