Video: Anglers in Boat Nearly Struck by Low-flying Plane

The start of the 40th annual Surubí National Festival in Argentina—a world-famous fishing extravaganza—was nearly marred by tragedy earlier this week when a low-flying plane almost crashed into an angler’s boat. In a video taken by Mariano Bradanini and uploaded to YouTube, you can see a plane clearly flying just above a boat. It is not currently known whether the plane meant to come so close to the boat, or if the pilot had briefly lost control of the aircraft.

According to event organizers, stunt planes were part of this year’s opening festivities. Some of the planes present were part of the show group Hanger del Cielo, which could be seen following some of the fishing boats quite closely.

The plane passes by at around the 0:38 mark.
