Video: Kung Fu Bear Masters Stick Fighting

What happens when you give a bored bear a stick? Well, apparently they develop their own method of stick fighting/baton spinning. This video was reportedly taken in a Japanese zoo as fascinated tourists gathered to watch this black bear do its thing. Not only does it seem to have a firm grasp of basic spinning methods, the bear also launches the stick into the air several times and deftly catches it—much to the amazement of bystanders.

Move over Kung Fu Panda, it’s time for this black bear to shine.
