Black mambas are often regarded as the deadliest snakes in the world, but this one is going no where fast.

This video of a black mamba snake was filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa. The snake in question appears to be completely unable to slither across the road.

We’re not sure if the unfamiliar pavement simply confused the snake or if this is a more well-known behavior. Either way it’s very strange considering the fact that the black mamba is the fastest snake in the world according to Wikipedia.

  • Absolutely NOT a Black Mamba.

The asphalt likely did not give the snake the traction it needed or it was extremely hot. I’d say the heat was making the snake try go over the road fast…..perhaps if it went slower it would have made it easier. I don’t know……..but did you see how fast it boogied when it hit the dirt? And you can tell how fast these mamba’s are by the speed it was whipping it’s body.
