Video: Ted Cruz Cooks Bacon with an AR-15

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is making the news again (after recent weeks dominated by fellow front runner Donald Trump), and this time it’s not because of his outspoken stance on the economy or other political issues, but rather his favorite method of cooking bacon.
“There are few things I enjoy more, than on weekends cooking breakfast with the family. Of course in Texas, we cook bacon a little bit differently than most folks,” the Senator said in a video on YouTube.
Most folks don’t fry their bacon at the range, so we’d say that he is right. Armed with an AR-15, some foil, several magazines filled to the brim, and thick slabs of bacon, Cruz sets off to make breakfast. Yet with the price of 5.56 ammo these days, this is hardly an economical—or practical—way of cooking bacon, but it sure is getting the most value out of your gun.
