Video: Master Craftsman Builds AK-47 Guitar

Jimmy Diresta, a master craftsman, artist, and designer, decided to meld together the aesthetics of an AK rifle with the functionality of a Ibanez guitar—or Gat-Tar, as the new creation is called. Now the first thing you see in the below video is Diresta laying out an AK next to the Ibanez, but fear not, he does not actually strip apart the rifle to build the guitar. That would be sacrilege. Instead Diresta recreates the wooden parts of the AK almost entirely from scratch.

The Gat-Tar was made for three-time Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean, who requested the gold color. He may have a hard time finding a case to fit his new instrument though.
