Video: Anglers Spot Trophy Buck Swimming off Carolina Coast

While fishing off the Carolina coast you might expect to see a dolphin or a pelican, but the last thing you expect to see is an eight-point buck.

That’s exactly what Capt. Dennis Barbour found while fishing about a half mile from shore. The anglers in this video noticed that the deer was heading away from land, so they decided to intervene.

The captain positioned his boat so that the deer was forced to head toward the beach instead of into the open water. Although you can’t see what happened in the video, we hope that this buck made it back to shore safely.
