Knowing when to start looking for morels can be challenging, but this video can help you be even more successful this season.

In this clip, the second of four videos in a series, Ohio State Park Naturalist Erin Shaw tells us when we should start looking look for morels. In addition, you should rely less on the air temperature and more on the soil temperature as an indicator of when morels will start popping up. Keep in mind this video is tailored for people morel hunting in Ohio. There may be different subspecies of morels and conditions in your neck of the woods.
