Video: This Angler Uses a Pontoon Boat as an Ice Breaker

This might just void the warranty on your boat. It’s never recommended to use your equipment for a purpose it was not designed for, and using a pontoon boat to break ice is definitely a good example. Some people might watch this video and think nothing was out of the ordinary, but others would be cringing at the sound of ice scraping the hull of what appears to be a perfectly serviceable Gillgetter 713 Fish N Cruise. This is probably one angler who never saw Titanic.
“The boat launch was covered in ice, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me from winter fishing,” wrote Catfish and Carp, who uploaded the video.
The angler then added that he drove the boat like a “stolen Russian ice breaker.”
Would you risk this kind of damage for some winter fishing?
