Why would you ever want to get that close to a shark? This woman riding on a jet ski in Platypus Bay, Australia got a quick little scare after she came too close to what appears to be a copper shark. The predator showed its displeasure by taking a meaty chomp at the craft—and almost the woman’s leg.
According to the Daily Mail, the woman and her husband were enjoying some time on the water near Fraser Island when they encountered the shark earlier this month. The shark had apparently been interested in the couple and started circling them. The nibble occurred when the woman decided she had enough and tried to leave.
At least it proves that even sharks need personal space.
