Man Takes Photographs of ‘Mothman’ Flying Across the Sky

Deer hunters in Mason County, West Virginia, might want to keep an eye out for this creature in the woods, and it’s not a whitetail.

The Point Pleasant Mothman, a local legend around town that has gained worldwide fame over the years, might have made another appearance this past weekend. According to WCHS News, a man was driving down State Route 2 when he noticed something big jump from tree to tree. He pulled over, got out and began snapping photos.

The pictures show what appears to be a winged man with long legs bent at an awkward angle, flying across the sky. Believe it or not, locals aren’t surprised by the photos. In fact, a lot of people believe the Mothman is real! The Mothman was first reported by witnesses in Point Pleasant way back in 1966. The myth took off and even inspired a book called “The Mothman Prophecies.”
