At some point during the next few weeks, chances are good that you’ll find yourself to face to face with someone who doesn’t share your passion for the outdoors, and specifically hunting. While they might be an angry anti (good luck with that), they probably just don’t quite understand why you do what you do. This is your chance to help that person off the fence and onto our side.

So when you’re at that company Christmas party, or neighborhood New Year’s Eve bash, and someone asks, “Why do you hunt?”, answer in your own words, certainly. But if you need some inspiration, or perhaps something to remind you of the many reasons why we hunters love to pursue game, then check out this heartfelt video from our friends to the north, the crew that produces the TV show “Canada in the Rough.”

Trust us . . . it’s worth your time.

I’ve met hunters who believe that all guns should be banned except traditional hunting guns. I have nothing against hunting, and if I needed food for my freezer, I would hunt. I love target shooting and the challenges it gives me, both pistol and long range rifle shooting and I like the high tech looking military style guns as well as the traditional hunting guns. I reload as well as buy ammunition and other shooting equipment. I’ve never heard target shooters and military styled gun enthusiasts wish to ban hunting, in fact many of them also hunt.. We also contribute a lot to the economy and help firearm businesses keep in business. This helps both the economy and the hunter.
