Video: Bid Now in Auction for Traditional Bow-Building Class

Maybe you dream of arrowing a turkey or deer with a traditional bow (recurve, longbow or selfbow). That doesn’t mean you want to give up your tricked-out compound, but maybe you’ve wondered what it would be like to step back in time? Well, if you have the urge to walk in the footsteps of Fred Bear and other bowhunting legends, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Right now you can big in an online auction, and up for grabs is a one-on-one bow-building class with Clay Hayes.

“You’ll come here and stay with me for 3-4 days, learning to build an Osage selfbow,” he said. “I’ll provide the tools, stave, meals and a bunk. Bidding ends on April 16 2017.”

Clay will put you up in a private cabin in Kendrick, Idaho, and you’ll learn from a master. Note: Transportation to Idaho is NOT included.

As Clay explains in the video below, all the proceeds from the auction go to a good cause – preserving our rights to hunt, fish and gather on public lands.

P.S. At the time this article was posted (11 a.m. CST; April 12, 2017), the top bid was $875. That’s a crazy-low price for a top-notch class like this – and you get to keep your selfbow! Remember, bidding is over at midnight (mountain time) on April 16 (Easter Sunday).

Good luck!
