Pilot Runs Over Alligator On Runway While Landing At Orlando Airport

Here’s a slight twist on a gator appearance. . .

A pilot landing a plane at Orlando Executive Airport, landed on top of an 11-foot alligator that had been laying on the runway, WFTV reports

The pilot said the gator jumped up and struck the wing of the plane during his attempt to set the plane on the ground, but that’s about all the details provided because the Federal Aviation Administration is still investigating the incident.

Another pilot, Brad Pierce, posted a photo with the gator on Facebook, calling this “one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen in all my years in aviation.”
