Hold on to your fishing hats, we have a new world record to announce.

In a post on Facebook, Tim Moore said he’s been waiting for month’s to announce his ice fishing tip-up world record, and he finally did over the weekend.

Tim posted a couple pictures with his post, one with the record-setting fish, and the other of his award certificate from the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

“My 2 lb. 12 oz. white perch was caught in Lake Winnipesaukee on March 30, 2017, on a Bigtooth Tackle Company Trophy Thermal Tip-Up from Clam Outdoors,” Tim wrote on Facebook.

Also, we just wanted to point out this is a tip-up world record only. The current world record white perch is weighed 3 lb. 8 oz., according to the IGFA.
