Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Seeking Info On Poaching Incident

The Maine Warden Service is seeking information in connection to the report of a deer killed on the morning of Thursday, July 20 on the Pooler Road in Pittsfield.
Evidence at the scene suggests that a deer was killed in a cornfield and dragged to the road and then loaded into the suspect’s vehicle. After collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, it is believed that the deer was killed between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. The vehicle involved is believed to be a darker colored, 1990’s model, boxier style extended cab truck. The truck may have a longer bed and a louder than normal exhaust.
