One of the best summers I ever spent was in 1992, working as a fishing guide at the amazing Bristol Bay Lodge in western Alaska. Yes, that’s me in the blurry print below hoisting a king salmon from the Togiak River; as I recall, it tipped the scales at 58-60 pounds.
I recently ran across a Facebook video showcasing many of the epic views surrounding the lodge. Note: BBL has a few exclusive outpost tent camps, so anglers will experience the luxury of the lodge itself, as well as life in the wilderness (trust me, it’s still very comfortable).
Enjoy the video below, and be sure to add BBL to your bucket list.
Video tip: For best viewing, hit the “full screen” tab and then turn up the volume. Enjoy!
