Graphic Images: PSA Clean Up Your Trash So This Doesn’t Happen

Hey litterbugs, here’s a reason to pick up your garbage instead of throwing it on the ground. Photos show how a tiny little wrapper can seriously hinder wildlife.

These images – which were posted on Facebook – are tough to see, but they serve a good reminder to those who have a tendency to look the other way anytime something falls out of their pocket.

The pictures show a young northern pike that, according to the Facebook post, grew with a Powerade wrapper wrapped around its body:

The wrapper caused serious mutations as the fish grew, and it’s rather incredible how it was able to live in this condition:
