Did You Know that ‘Green Monday’ is a Thing?

Sure, you’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but did you know that Green Monday is a thing?
Of course, I may not be the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but this one is new to me. And when I first heard about it this morning, I assumed it must be something to encourage shoppers to buy natural/good-for-the-planet products, but that’s not the case.
Evidently, the “green” in Green Monday represents the cash you’ll save on the second Monday of December, and in 2017 that means December 11 — today.
Of course, the Targets and Walmarts of the world are all over Green Monday, as is Amazon, and a quick check revealed that the folks at Cabela’s know all about it, too.
You have exactly 14 days until Christmas, so you might as well take advantage of special deals happening on Green Monday.
P.S. I don’t care what the retailers invent for tomorrow, December 12, because I’ll be browning some venison burger from my 2017 South Dakota buck and our family will be calling it Taco Tuesday!
