Video: This 3D Animation Demonstrates How an AK-47 Functions

Want to know exactly how an AK-47 works? Matt Rittman, a 3D animation designer, recently built an excellent 3D computer-generated model showing just how the mechanism inside a typical AK-47 functions.
Now, if we get all technical, we start to find some minor mistakes in the video . . .
For one, the firing pin doesn’t actually puncture the primer like the video claims, and the term “bullet primer” just sounds a bit off. However, we’re not here to critique anyone’s gun knowledge. This is an informational and educational animation that demonstrates how these firearms function.
If anyone is curious about the technical stuff that goes into making one of these 3D animations, here’s Matt’s explanation:
“A 3D animation created in Cinema 4D and After Effects showing how an AK-47 rifle works. Corona renderer was used in order to create realistic materials and reflections.”
