Video: Black Bear Uppercuts Florida Man, Leaving Him with Nasty Gash on His Face

A man in South Florida is counting his blessings after taking a punch from a bear just steps from his front door.
Andy Meunier was taking his dog outside one evening in Naples, Florida, when he turned to see a bear looking directly at him from an arms length away.
“Everything went in slow motion. It was just as scary as you can imagine,” Meunier stated in the WZVN News video below. “It was standing in front of me, and I tried to turn left real quick and get back in the house, and caught an uppercut from a brown, or a black bear.”
That punch left a nasty gash on Meunier’s face, but he says he doesn’t care even a little about a scar.
“Truthfully, I’m not sure how I got out alive,” Meunier said. “I don’t care if this scars, or anything, I walked away with my life, and it could’ve been a whole lot worse.
