A wildlife photographer was in the right place at the right time for what he calls a “one-in-a-trillion photograph” that shows the food chain in action; prey eats prey eats prey.

It was just another day on the job for wildlife photographer Doc Jon, as he captured a stunning photo of an osprey carrying what appeared at first to be a fish in its talons. But when he took a closer look, Doc realized he just shot an incredibly timely photo.

It turned out the osprey’s next meal was going to be a shark, but it was also getting a second entree along with it. . .

“It was very far away so I couldn’t see it through my viewer but when I got home and zoomed in on the photo I saw the catch was a shark,” Doc told FOX13.

 Take a close look at the photos from the Facebook post below, and you’ll notice the shark had a meal of its own in its jaw’s:
