Vice President Mike Pence will keynote the National Rifle Association’s annual Leadership Forum held next week in Dallas Texas, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Executive director Chris Cox was quoted in the announcement calling it an “honor” to have Pence headline their annual meeting.
“He is a lifetime supporter of the Second Amendment and he has a long record of fighting to defend our freedoms. Now more than ever we need principled people in public office who will fight to defend the Constitution. Our members are excited to hear him speak and thank him for his leadership.” Cox continued saying.
The event will also feature a number of other speakers, most of whom are fellow politicians, lawmakers, spokespeople, and a Marine Corps. veteran who was a member of the Annex Security Team that fought in the Battle of Benghazi.
At last year’s historic NRA show, President Trump became the first sitting president to make an appearance at the event since President Ronald Reagan in 1983.
