Most people use the holidays as a time to unwind, catch up on popular Netflix series, or maybe even run through a marathon of their favorite Hallmark holiday movies. And then there are folks who take this time to complete death defying stunts, such as kayaking over one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi. In the video below, a daredevil kayaker paddles over Tahquamenon Falls located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

On Facebook, a public group called “K&R LaLone Photography,” identified the kayaker as Marcelo Marcondes Galizio.

According to Detroit Free Press, the video was captured on December 30 by photographer Kelly LaLone of Cedar Springs, near Grand Rapids.

This waterfall is found in Tahquamenon Falls State Park, near Paradise. It has a drop of nearly 50 feet and is more than 200 feet across, according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
