Are you a hardcore waterfowl hunter? If so, Beretta has come out with a new shotgun for 2019 made just for you. The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus semi auto shotgun is designed to withstand those cold, wet, nasty days on the marsh with reduced felt recoil and extreme reliability when the birds are coming in.
The A400 Xtreme is loaded with features:
- Adjustable length of pull
- Soft comb for reduced felt recoil
- Drilled and tapped receiver to add Picatinny rail if needed
- Stepped rib
- Steel mid bead
- Fiber Optic front sight
- 5 OptimaChoke HP black extended choke tubes
- Cross-tube piston

Barrel lengths range from 26 to 28 inch and chambering are in 3.5 inch. All A400 Extreme Plus Models are chambered in 12 gauge and are offered in five distinct camouflage patterns; True Timber DRT, Realtree Max-5, Optifade Timber, Mossy Oak Bottomland, and Marsh. A “Synthetic” color pattern of black and gray is also available. MSRP for the A400 Xtreme Plus is $1900.
Having been an ardent waterfowl hunter in days gone by, this shotgun rekindled thoughts of many pleasurable cold mornings in a duck blind accompanied by my favorite retrievers. Enough so in fact that I may revisit my old haunts with a new shotgun in tow.
