Can You Guess How Many Fish Are Swimming in This Ice Fishing Hole?
OutdoorHub Reporters 03.12.19
We’ve played this guessing game once or twice in the past, but guessing how many fish are swimming in this ice fishing hole beneath these anglers is going to be rather tricky.
According to the video’s description on Facebook, Jake B, a physical therapy student at The College of St. Scholastica, captured this footage while ice fishing roughly 40-feet of water on northern Michigan’s Lake Superior.
Anybody willing to toss a number out there? Let’s hear your best guesstimate..
It’s not certain what species of fish they are, but if we had to venture a guess, we would say either lake sturgeon or lake trout based on the location. There doesn’t appear to be any giant 10-footers swimming down there, though, so perhaps it’s the latter. But still cool to see nonetheless!
Have you ever seen anything like this before while ice fishing?
