[NRA Show 2019] NEW Mini Mosin Nagant from Keystone Sporting Arms

Keystone Sporting Arms was in attendance at the NRA Annual Meetings for 2019 in Indianapolis this last weekend like many prominent manufacturers. They brought with them one of the most talked about firearms of the show with their newly unveiled Mini Mosin Nagant chambered in .22 Long Rifle. This new youth military surplus style rifle drew a lot of attention from everybody that passed their booth, and the NRA Show in general.

While there were a lot of eyes on the NEW Mini Mosin, Keystone Sporting Arms does not have a complete specification sheet for us to gaze at at the moment. They do have an MSRP of $399 which makes them fairly affordable in comparison to other rimfire training rifles for youth shooters. Keystone Sporting Arms had these words to share to give us all a peek into what this rimfire rifle is like:

“A miniature .22lr version of the classic Mosin-Nagant 91/30 Rifle used by the Russians in WWII. It is the first of a series of ‘Mini Mil-Surp’ rifles, a collection of five WWI and WWII rifles scaled down for Youth shooters and chambered in America’s sweetheart, the .22lr cartridge. Now kids can shoot their own version of Mom and Dad’s cool military firearms!

The KSA 91/30 has a 20 inch barrel, precision-machined to ensure the durability and accuracy that is normally reserved for the ‘big guns.’ The action is based on the proven, safe, single-shot Crickett design and has a straight-handled bolt, just like the original Mosins.“

As Keystone Sporting Arms mentioned in their short Press Release statement, their military surplus rifles in rimfire are not going to end with the new Mini Mosin. They intend to make 4 more undecided models in the future. If you were in attendance at the NRA Show and swung by their booth, you could actually help contribute in deciding what is the next firearm that is produced by them. Something else that show attendees could cash in on is the opportunity to get a Limited Edition Mini Mosin that came in a wood crate. Only 500 of these Limited Edition rifles will be made and you could actually pick out what serial number you would like to receive at the Show.

“The sights are also copies of the originals (scaled down, of course) and the walnut stock and barrel even have ‘proof’ stamps and markings. The first 500 pre-orders will come with a custom wooden crate with matching serial numbers, a sling, a certificate of authenticity, selection of your own serial number and more. We will contact you via email or phone to confirm FFL shipping information.“
