Conservation is an all-important part of every hunter’s or angler’s life. Without proper conservation efforts, many species of animals we love to hunt or fish for would disappear either through irresponsible action or inaction. That fact is not lost upon the folks over at Savage who have just announced that they will be sponsoring the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP). The TRCP is a non-profit organization with the singular goal of guaranteeing that all American’s have access to quality places to hunt and fish.

As part of Savage’s sponsorship of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, Beth Shimanski, and Robert Gates (both Savage employees) will both begin serving on the TRCP’s council. The council engaged and educates conservation-minded companies on policy issues while the council members also provide an industry perspective to the TRCP council and partners on certain conservation campaigns.
TRCP’s mission dovetails perfectly with Savage’s commitment to American sportsmen and women. Savage continues to lead the industry in innovative new firearms that are designed and built for hunters and all shooters, but we wouldn’t exist without the efforts of conservation groups like TRCP that keep the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt’s preservation efforts alive. We’re honored to be included on the Corporate Council and look forward to contributing to TRCP’s mission.
